About Ships

Cássio recurs to ships to postulate the subject of weight in the most kinetic and intangible means of image production: photography. He confers weight and gravity to light. There is a massive presence of those iron bodies, lacking windows, occupying the picture almost completely. The shots, made from the point of view of someone in the surface line, make us feel the water volume and the size of the ship bottoms. The image, slightly unfocused, without borders, acquires the shapeless consistency of clouds.
Water, sky and ship mingle in a same material texture.
