About Urban Fabrics

In this collection of captivating aerial shots, the motto is the stark contrast in patterns and texture – as well as function – of the designs of the Earth that Vasconcellos, who accumulates next to a thousand flight-hours in different types of aircrafts, captured in his flights. He adds: “No, I’ve never shot pictures and piloted at the same time. It is utterly impossible”. Translated into striking photographic images, Tecidos Urbanos displays careful compositions akin to abstract geometric painting with lines, circles and curves that convey a unique perspective of the fabrics that layout the urban world.
